Have you ever wondered why sunshine makes us so happy? There are several reasons, including a serotonin boost, erasing winter blues, and just naturally giving us more energy. I know that I love being out in the sun, just sitting and being able to enjoy the day, reading a book, I always feel more relaxed and ready to tackle the next thing that comes my way.  So, my question to you is…why not use this to your advantage?

Yes, you CAN use your messaging-on-hold or on-site to encourage your best customers to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. That’s because when you’re encouraging them to head out into the sun, you’re getting them to do something outside of the house. And being out of the house is the only way they’re going to come through your doors!

Summer

One of best ways that you can get customers to stop by your location and see what you have to offer is to create an experience for them. We love it when a business holds an event that centers on what you provide, let your customers experience, well, you! Humans are social by nature, so we prefer to be interactive with the world around us. So what we walk away with from the experience is WAY more meaningful than simply the food we ate or the product we purchased. It’s the experience that brings people back.

So, let’s think…the more creative, the better! What are some of the best ways that you can use your Voice services to make customers aware of your business?

  • Creat a DIY Event. Show people how to reuse some of the products they have and regularly need to purchase…I’m sure there is some use for that empty laundry container.
  • Teach a class. Products are on your shelf for a reason so show your best customers how to use them!
  • Build an Ice Cream Sandwich. It’s hot out in the summer, use that to your advantage!
  • Sampling. There is a reason people go to Costco on their sample days…
  • Sponsor a water gun tournament. Customers may not actually be in your store, but they will know who supplied the buckets of ice and way cool Nerf water guns.

If you can think of any more ideas that could get folks out into the sun and spending money at your place, let us know in the comments section below. We love the conversation!

Have a great summer, and don’t forget sunscreen!
