“I see my life in terms of music” – Albert Einstein

Seeing my life in terms of music currently looks like songs popping in my head while being a new mom! “Wide Awake” by Katy Perry shows up during the middle of the night, “Call Me Maybe” replaced by “Call Me Raleigh,” my daughter’s name, and so on and so forth. Or every time I hear Gin Blossoms I go back to being a 16 year old who just got my driver’s license (or as I used to refer to it as the “ultimate freedom”). Big Head Todd makes me think of high school soccer practice. Or every time I hear Crowded House singing “Don’t Dream It’s Over” I think of the very first time I actually remember a song playing overhead in a store as a 7-year-old shopping with my Mom.

Is this true for you as well? Certain music can take us right back to a special event or time in our lives. What songs jog your memory and helps you see your life in terms of music?
