Every summer in Seattle we are fortunate to, not only, have awesome weather, but to also be invited to an equally awesome music presentation from Universal Music Group. Universal Label Representative from all parts are present for a showcase of up-and-coming artists from the label group.
This year the showcase was held at one of Seattle’s great venues, The Triple Door. The venue is the perfect size for a showcase. It offers a more romantic seating and stage arrangement, as well as a separate lounge area for guests to mingle with performers, local music professionals, Label Representatives…all while enjoying a delicious catered lunch.
The showcase exposed us to some current trendies as well as up-and-comers, with live performances by:
Colton Dixon (American Idol Season 10 contestant)
Wrabel (You know him as one of the lead vocalists for Producer/DJ Afrojack and the international EDM hit “Ten Feet Tall,” a featured artist on Mood’s Strobe core music concept)
Panama Wedding (Promising 2014 pop-indie group)
Zella Day (Coffee-house pop artist)
James Bay (Acoustic folk artist, also very coffee-house)
Jamie Scott (UK singer/songwriter and One Direction collaborator with heavy ’70s James Taylor/Cat Stevens influences)
Young Rising Sons (Uplifting alternative pop group)
Thank you to Universal Music Group!
