I recently attended the Universal Music Group Music Presentation on July 31st at the Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle.

UMG treated all attendees with a wonderful lunch and showcased of some of their rising stars.

Nine artists/groups performed live at this years’ event including:

The Colourist

Great indie rock for teen retail.

Diego Garcia

Global & adult. Check him out on Backpages or Songbook styles. And watch our previous interview with Diego below:

I’ve blogged¬†about her previously…she has a new album due out this fall. Feminine brands take note.

Sick Puppies

Alternative rock for the 20+ demographic. You can find them on the Album Rock style.

Ivy Levan

She served up some gritty, in-your-face blues-infused pop. Sort of a female version of Brian Setzer with more attitude. Great for sports bars.

Jamestown Revival

Two boys who grew up together in the small town of Magnolia, Texas. Their sound is classic Americana, southern, rootsy, down to earth, and organic. Recommend their music for southern hospitality establishments.

Overall a terrific afternoon of diverse musical talent!
