It’s springtime and not only are the flowers blooming and the pollen swarming (in the southeast at least), but it’s almost Memorial Day which is the kickoff to the summer season! Cookouts are already starting to happen in our neighborhood and you can see families staying out to play later as the days have grown longer.
What songs come to mind when you think of summer nights (hey, that’s a song!), road trips, spring break? I think of “Holiday” by Madonna or “Vacation” by the Go-Go’s during vacations, or “Summertime” by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Some of these may even be found in our Summer Fun program!
It’s the songs that bring back memories…perhaps of riding your bike through the neighborhood, being out of school, going to baseball games, going to the pool everyday, vacations with family, etc…. What are the special songs that take you back to vacations and times away, not just then but also today as you create new memories?
