Bear In Heaven’s new album I Love You, It’s Cool, is the first of theirs recorded in a studio. Given the success of their last one, Beast Rest Forth Mouth, they were able to actually generate income on the tour supportingthat record, a boon in any working band’s career. That fortune parlayed into the ability to work full time on their sound, allowing them to focus more on exploring the possibilities in recording and production instead of day jobs. The result is a confident, bright, ethereal piece of work that is as danceable as it is thoughtful.

When touring through Austin and playing The Parish,  Music Design’s Chris Ullsmith had the opportunity to speak to the band about the reaction of the new album on tour, the evolution of their sound, and, oh yeah, mustaches.
