From the beginning, Young Turks has set its sights on being an influential tastemaker in Indie music circles. Founded by concert promoter, artist manager, and Billboard 30 under 30 entrepreneur Caius Pawson in 2006, the label has struck gold with limited 7”s and praised full lengths from the likes of The XX and El Guincho.
El Guincho “Hindou”
Young Turks works under XL Records and is part of the Beggars Group umbrella. The label’s releases come from an eclectic range of genres but at the core, the music often leans towards electronic pop influences with some eccentric touches. Check out some of the highlights from the catalog below:
Chairlift “Amanaemonesia”
SBTRKT Feat. Roses Gabor “Pharaohs”
Tanlines “New Flowers”
Jessie Ware and Sampha “Valentine”
Holy F**k “Red Lights”
