While he’s best remembered for being the Rolling Stones’ manager in the band’s early days, Andrew Loog Oldham was also a prolific composer, arranger and producer. In 1965, he started his own label, Immediate Records, releasing albums from The Small Faces, Marianne Faithful, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Nichols, Humble Pie, The Nice, and P.P. Arnold among others. With equal leanings towards Mod, Psych, Folk and Motown sounds, Oldham was a kingpin of mid 60s English pop.
Check out some of the fine tracks that he produced or released on Immediate.
