Creation Records was one of the pioneering UK indie labels of the 80s and 90s. It closed its doors in 1999, but look no further than bands like The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and The Horrors to see that it’s influence is alive and well.
Among the bands that signed to Creation in it’s heyday were The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, The Pastels, Primal Scream, Teenage Fanclub, Super Furry Animals, Slowdive, Ride and, yes, Oasis.
